This educational activity has been designed for perioperative nurses who wish to review appropriate intraoperative measures focused on decreasing the surgical patient's risk of infection. The course examines several AORN-recommended practices as they relate to surgical procedures. Also included is a discussion of perioperative nursing considerations for infection prevention.
